Pricing for paid and free events
Simple ticketing fees, with local currency support.
Free events stay free. For paid tickets, BookItEase applies a platform fee per ticket, calculates payment processing by seller and buyer country, and can show buyers prices in their local currency.
Paid ticket fee
The exact buyer total is calculated at checkout based on event currency settings and buyer country.
Platform fee
A fixed BookItEase fee per paid ticket.
The platform fee is stored per currency so international buyers see clean local amounts.
| Market | Currency | BookItEase fee |
|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | GBP | £0.50 |
| United States | USD | $0.75 |
| Europe | EUR | €0.60 |
| Canada | CAD | CA$0.80 |
| Australia | AUD | A$0.90 |
| India | INR | ₹50 |
Payment processing
Stripe fees are based on seller country and buyer card country.
Domestic payments use the local domestic rate. Cross-border cards use regional or international rules.

Standard online-card estimates shown above were checked against Stripe's published pricing. Premium cards, manually entered cards, custom Stripe contracts and other payment methods can have different rates. The actual Stripe balance-transaction fee is reconciled after payment.
Currency conversion
Buyers can see prices in their preferred currency.
When FX is enabled and the buyer currency is supported, the engine converts the base price and applies the configured FX markup.
1. Resolve buyer currency
Buyer country maps to GBP, USD, EUR, or INR.
2. Check event support
If the event supports that currency, it is displayed. Otherwise it falls back to base currency.
3. Apply FX markup
Converted prices include the configured 2% FX markup before fees are calculated.
Calculation
What the buyer pays and what the seller receives.
The final calculation is handled by the shared pricing engine and recalculated server-side when the order is created.

Seller receives
buyer total - Stripe fee - platform fee
Stripe and platform fees are separate from the optional booking fee. If the buyer pays charges, those charges are added on top of the ticket price. A booking fee can also be added as its own extra amount.
